With Face-to-Face coaching, you and your Coach meet and work through the actions and strategies for each session.
Many coachee’s prefer this type of coaching, as they feel being physically present immerses them more into the coaching activity.
Below is an outline of what you can typically expect to happen with Face-to-Face coaching.
Preparation for the initial session:
Before 1-2-1 or any type of coaching can begin, it is essential you meet your potential Coach in person first - and there are a number of reasons for that.
The introductory 20 minute meeting will ensure you;
- Totally understand what coaching is and what it isn’t
- Become clear on whether coaching is for you
- Get acquainted with the format of future coaching sessions
- Are comfortable with and feel you can work with your potential Coach
- Fully understand the pricing of the coaching options on offer
At the same time, your potential Coach will gauge whether they feel coaching is appropriate for you, given what you’ve told them.
(In 99% of cases, coaching is exactly the solution the potential client could benefit most from. There are, however, a few instances where the potential client needs greater levels of support than coaching can provide. In these rare instances, the Coach will make it known immediately that they are not qualified to assist the client at that time and will make a recommendation for an alternative course of action.)
Once you’ve decided that coaching is for you, your new Coach will provide you with a “life check” questionnaire to fill in and return at least 48 hours before the first session. From this questionnaire, your Coach will be able to plan the first session.
For each session, you - the coachee, prepares the material for that session’s discussion:
After each session, your Coach summarises the action points you need to work on and sends you a summary within the following 24-36 hours by email (save the 1st session). It is your work, findings and results from these action points that you prepare for discussion at the next session.
There are really no right or wrong answers to the action points you’re assigned, because everything is down to your personal take on them. However, it is your Coach’s job, to use his or her expertise to keep you within certain boundaries and ensure you get the maximum benefit from the time you expend working on them.
The duration of the sessions and where they take place:
Each standard session is 50 minutes long, with the option to extend adhoc if you’d like and of course if the Coach’s diary permits. You can also pre-book a longer session in advance should you so desire, with a maximum 2 hour slot being available.
Our recommendation is that you always try and have your sessions in a neutral venue. Doing so will serve as psychological refreshment for you, because you’ll be leaving any emotions associated with your other venues, e.g. your home or office, where they belong and not bringing them with you to the session.
Remember, during coaching you are forming new habits and starting to work in new ways in order to break free of the past and move forward. It is much, much easier to discuss and focus on this when there are no reminders of the past glaringly present.

Coaching sessions can be booked in 1 month blocks or individually.
Booking a monthly block gives you:-
- 3 x 50 minute 1-2-1 sessions - a minimum of 1 week in between each session is recommended, to ensure you have enough time to thoroughly complete and prepare your actions
- A Coach that will travel to your venue of choice*
- Unlimited inter-session emails - should you have any questions relating to your action points or any other coaching questions before your next session, you can email your Coach as often as you feel you need to
- Your investment for this package is only £207 - this is the total price with no VAT to add
Booking an individual session gives you:-
- 1 x 50 minute 1-2-1 session
- A Coach that will travel to your venue of choice*
- Your investment for this option is only £77 - this is the total price with no VAT to add
Should you want to book an extended session or extend a session adhoc, your extra investment will only be;
- £134 for 2hrs, or
- £20 per 15 minute block
